"I had an accounting job and my boss was the controller, he was like 54 years old and the owner of the company was like 30 and the owner was so mean to him and I saw myself in his shoes and said, 'I'm not gonna do that.'"

"When I first got out of school I worked at a cubicle to help pay the bills but I knew that I just wanted to do this and as soon as I was doing enough shows that it could cover the bills and I didn't have to work in a cubicle I was like, 'See you later, cubicle!' And now I wander from Starbucks to Starbucks learning lines and trying to write and trying to get ready for auditions."

"In college I was interested in photography but I didn't really know you could apply it towards work like that, I thought of photography as something that was more fine art, and then realized through a friend that I could get a job working for a newspaper and document the community at the school and that opened doors to internships around the country and eventually a full-time job."
